about

In high school I delivered prescriptions to a lady that lived on Dry Fork road just outside of Dillonvale, OH. She had a kind, gentle nature that left quite an impression on me. Her name was Arizola Jones.

Thanks to my rust belt bro Matt Heusel for helping me bring the lyric full circle.

Thanks to Jake Hanner of the band Donora for the killer mix and sweetening of my home recording.

Thanks to Jake Churton also of the band Donora for the fantastic bass part.

And thanks to my daughter Ava for the cool art that appears inside the bird on the cover.

lyrics

Oh my dear Arizola
There are so very few
Oh my dear Arizola
That are true so true…true as you

Kettle whistling on the stove
Worth every mile that I drove
Just to fall under your spell
Stories only you can tell

How your old familiar ways
Are long forgotten these days
Love the way you call me chile
Shelter me for a little while

Oh my dear Arizola
There are so very few
Oh my dear Arizola
That are true so true…true as you

Walk the fenceline on your land
These are things you understand
The easy silence of a prayer
The quiet hour so rare
